The Writings of Helen Leggatt
British freelance writer living on New Zealand’s South Island.EmigrateNZ Forum Moderator
In 2004, Helen emigrated from Scotland to New Zealand’s South Island. Before, during and after her big move (and to this day) Helen has been an active member and moderator of a major immigration forum – ENZ.
At the time of writing, Helen (known as Moorf on the forum) has nearly 8,000 posts under her belt at ENZ and is one of its most respected members. She has helped people from all countries, and all walks of life, to undertake the massive move from their home countries including giving help and advice on the emotions of emigrating.
Helen draws on her personal experiences, and those of others she has met on the rollercoaster they call immigration, to write articles that impart a level of knowledge that can only come from real-life involvement.
Generic immigration topics covered to date include the emotions and practicalities of emigrating. Helen also writes UK/New Zealand-specific content in her “NZ – Just like the UK, except different” series of articles.
Emigrate New Zealand magazine interviewed Helen for their December 2007 issue: emigrate-article-spread-1 (.pdf) / emigrate-article-spread-2 (.pdf)
